MGA is a membership organization that represents a wide spectrum of Maryland-based organizations and professionals who are involved in the world of aging, including universities, practitioners, private industry, consumer education organizations and advocates.


The Maryland Gerontological Association (MGA) is a multidisciplinary organization dedicated to training and supporting people working with older adults, their families and caregivers.
Since 1980, MGA has provided Maryland leaders in the field of geriatrics and gerontology educational and networking opportunities through its annual conference, networking events, and half-day to full-day seminars on relevant issues affecting older adults.
MGA recognizes that the field of gerontology is diverse and expanding with emerging technologies. MGA understands its responsibility as a leader to drive the conversation and serve as a go-to educational home for professionals serving older adults in Maryland.
